Traditional oil analysis techniques include the detection of more than ten analytical indicators such as kinematic viscosity, extreme pressure, flash point, acid value, moisture content, pour point, pH value, mechanical impurities, ash content, residual carbon, and corrosion testing. Although the accuracy of the analysis results is high, the analysis operation is very complicated and can only indirectly reflect the degradation and decay of the oil from the performance changes of the lubricating oil. Among them, only kinematic viscosity, extreme pressure, and pour point have a certain correlation with machine performance, while other indicators may not be related to them. They are only meaningful for specific raw materials, processing techniques, and additives. In other words, the physical and chemical properties of the oil are qualified, but its performance may not necessarily be qualified.
