The role of oil filter in fuel system

The main function of an oil filter is to remove mechanical impurities, moisture, and harmful particles from the fuel, protect key components such as the oil pump, nozzle, cylinder liner, and piston ring, reduce wear and blockage, and ensure the stable operation and reliability of the engine. The fuel filter removes solid impurities such as iron oxide and dust from the fuel, preventing blockages in the fuel system, especially in the fuel injectors, thereby reducing mechanical wear and improving engine reliability.

Types of oil filters and their application in fuel systems

1. Mechanical oil filter: It intercepts granular impurities in the oil through a mechanical filter screen, with a filtration accuracy of 1-5 μ m. This type of oil filter is only used for ordinary oil filling filtration. For those with heavy water content and impurities, the following two more professional filtration equipment should be selected.

2. High flow hard film oil filter: purifies the oil in the tank through a membrane filter element, removing free water and particulate impurities, with high processing capacity and filtration efficiency.

Removing moisture and impurities from fuel: The coalescing filter uses "coalescing separation" technology to effectively remove emulsified water, free water, and impurities from fuel. Its working principle is to filter out pollutants of different sizes through a specially designed high-efficiency filter element, while aggregating the water in the oil into larger water droplets, which settle into the water storage tank under the action of gravity, thus achieving oil-water separation.

Improving the efficiency of fuel engines: Agglomeration filters can extend the service life of fuel engines and improve their working efficiency. By removing moisture and impurities from the fuel, it is possible to reduce fuel nozzle blockage, avoid fuel system failures, and ensure stable engine operation.

Suitable for various fuel types: Guoke coalescing oil filter is suitable for purifying light oils such as aviation fuel, gasoline, kerosene, diesel, etc. Its efficient filtration and dehydration functions can extend the nozzle life and improve the efficiency of fuel engines.

Specific application case: For example, a certain oilfield company in Xinjiang used a coalescence dehydration oil filter to process water containing crude oil. Through six 200L/min coalescence dehydration oil filters, the water content in the exported oil was successfully reduced to below 1%, meeting the standard for crude oil water content.

Technical parameters and equipment specifications: The technical parameters of the coalescence dehydration oil filter include rated flow rate, design temperature, recommended viscosity, rated pressure, motor power, etc. For example, a certain model of coalescence dehydration oil filter has a rated flow rate of 200L/min, a design temperature of 80 ° C, a recommended viscosity of 120 ≤ Cst, a rated pressure of 0.6Mpa, and a motor power of 5.5KW 3.
